Thank You Genline!
Because of the all the information I found on Genline, I was able to make a
trip to Sweden and visit all the places my family lived before they emigrated
to the U.S. Without Genline I don't know how long it would have taken to accomplish
as much. I started with a birth date and a parish in July 2003, traced the family,
and traveled to Sweden in March 2004. We visited two farms and attended church
where my great-great grandfather was confirmed. Thank You Genline!

I would like to take a minute to tell you how incredible the Genline experience
has been.
After reading the instructions, it still took me a few days to learn HOW to quickly
and efficiently use the various components. For instance, under “settings,”
I found the “sliding scale” but I didn’t try to use it, as I
knew from my earlier experiences with microfilms that if the film was DARK, then
the image was simply DARK. Imagine my joy to see that I could actually change
the image brightness until I could read the words! And I could also enlarge the
size of the image, and print a copy immediately from the screen! I learned that
the Household Survey records have an index in the front of each book, listing
villages or towns in that parish, and on what page they can be found. That was
extremely useful for me. The scope of this project is remarkable, covering so
many records for so many of the Swedish "counties."
This program is AMAZING! What must have been a burden to the clerics in the "old
days" surely turns out to be a TREASURE to those of us researching our ancestors
today. My sincere thanks to the person or persons who developed the program and
to your company for making this resource available in such an excellent form.
