GFFMacJava

This is written completely in Java (compatible with Intel processors and other operating systems. Genline will only provide support for Mac OS X)

Minimum:

  • Free Hard Disk space: 500 KB
  • Screen resolution: 1024 x 768
  • Java version 1.4.1 or higher (Is part of Mac OS X 10.2.8 or higher)

For memory (RAM) and CPU there is no explicit lower limit. If you are prepared to wait some seconds to unpack an image (download time not included) and wait a couple of seconds to change zoom, brightness etc this system should suffice:

  • CPU: ca 350 MHz
  • RAM for Mac OS X 10.3.3: 448 MB (64+128+256 MB)
  • RAM for Mac OS X 10.2.8: 384 MB (128+256 MB)

Less RAM may decrease performance radically. (Additional free hard disk space is also needed.)

For higher demands we recommend:

  • CPU: more than 1000 MHz
  • RAM: more than 500 MB

GFFMacSpecial

Can only run on Apple's Power platform (PowerPC), and not on Apple's new Intel platform.

It needs about 200 MB RAM (work memory). The other requirements are equal to GFFMacJava's.
